About The Course
Experience has shown the importance of managers in the successful adoption of effective practice. Indeed, the role of the manager is essential to the development of effective teams. We have also found that effective managers use the same skills with their teams as effective counsellors use with their clients, i.e. a collaborative and trusting relationship, pro-social modelling, problem solving and motivational skills. This course makes use of training, modelling and coaching approaches that participants can use with their teams.
In addition, we have found that good leadership, thoughtful supervision and coaching can enhance a manager’s effectiveness. Finally, we will address continuous professional development through techniques such as practice observation, effective feedback, and peer group learning.
This training will help managers create a learning environment within teams that will enable them to fully develop their skills and realize their potential.
